WASHINGTON, D.C. - An aerial shot of the tidal flats and marshlands in southern Louisiana, taken June 25, provides an idea of just how difficult oil clean-up operations would be in such a shallow and densely vegetated environ. Coast Guard members and civilian boat crews are working to boom off inlets to these areas in order to prevent contamination of one of the Gulf Coast's most sensitive ecosystems.
