Coast Guard Cutters Tackle and Thunder Bay
Coast Guard Cutters Tackle and Thunder Bay pass each other while breaking ice on the Kennebec River, Maine. The cutters worked in concert to reduce the risk of flooding by breaking up large sections of ice into manageable sections that can more easily flow through choke points and out to sea.
