WASHINGTON, DC - Commander Philipp Mandau, the Assistant Naval Attaché to the United States for the Federal Republic of Germany, and Gary Thomas, retired Coast Guard Commander, lay a wreath at the sight of a sunken German U-boat on the Maple buoy deck at the Graveyard of the Atlantic, June 13, 2022.
