Rear Adm. Christopher Bartz, the 27th Golden Coast Guard Ancient Albatross, places the Ancient Albatross ceremonial flight jacket on Rear Adm. Carola List, the 28th Golden Ancient Albatross, during a visit to Kitty Hawk, North Carolina April 24, 2025. Kitty Hawk is known as the location where the Wright Brothers had the first flight in history, but Coast Guard Life Saving Station crews where also there to help the brothers during that historic event.
