The United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration program was created to right those wrongs. The commemoration honors all United States veterans who served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces from Nov. 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975. We are in the midst of a 50-year anniversary commemoration of that 20-year period of U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War.

Vietnam War Veteran's Day is March 29. More than 8,000 Coast Guard members served in the war.

Recreational boat engine cut-off switch law will improve maritime safety

Beginning April 1, 2021, operators of recreational vessels less than 26 feet in length will be required to use the engine cut-off switch (ECOS) and associated ECOS link (ECOSL).
