Direct Access going down from Dec. 18 to Jan. 1

Put in your holiday leave now because Direct Access will be temporarily inaccessible soon.
At 12:01 a.m. EST, Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, availability to Direct Access will be limited to only those users who will be performing tasks associated with 2021 payroll and regulatory changes.
This means no login access, including no ability to submit absence requests, no processing of pay or separation transactions and no processing of orders to include reserve IDT, ADT, etc.
Direct Access will be reactivated at 11:59 p.m. EST, Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020.
This limited availability is necessary to avoid the submission of self-service and Servicing Personnel Office (SPO) transactions that potentially conflict with legislative and regulatory changes.
This limited availability to the Coast Guard’s human capital management system will impact all active duty, reservists, retirees, annuitants, and civilian supervisors of military members. During this timeframe, access to self-service in Direct Access for all users will be unavailable.
Separate guidance for commands and SPOs will be provided in an upcoming ALCGPSC message.
Guidance pertaining to “A” and “C” school orders will be provided in an upcoming Education and Training Quota Management Command training advisory.
Commanders, Commanding Officers, Officers-in-Charge, and Command Senior Enlisted Leaders should advise all members of the need to complete any required work prior to 12:01 a.m. EST, Friday, Dec. 18, 2020.
