Each year the Uniform Distribution Center (UDC) takes time to count every item within its building. This year the UDC will perform its annual wall-to-wall inventory from Feb. 16-19 2021, thus temporarily suspending uniform order processing and shipping operations. This time will allow staff to concentrate on completing inventory accountability requirements quickly and efficiently.
If you or your unit places an order online through SHOPCGX.COM, your order will be accepted and placed on hold. As soon as inventory actions are complete, the UDC will return to normal operations, processing all orders “on hold”. The UDC anticipates shipping delays of four to 10 days for held orders.
Remember, if you need a uniform item immediately, most Coast Guard uniform items are available in Coast Guard Exchange (CGX) retail stores at the same cost as online.
