Direct Access will have limited availability Feb 25-27

The Coast Guard’s Human Capital Management system is scheduled for limited availability in order to receive mandatory security updates.

Direct Access is scheduled to have limited availability from 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 25 through 6 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021. Only those who are performing the security updates will have access to the system. This limited availability is necessary to avoid the submission of self-service and Servicing Personnel Office (SPO) transactions that potentially conflict with legislative and regulatory changes.

This will impact all active duty, reservists, retirees, annuitants, and civilian supervisors of military members. During this timeframe, access to self-service for all users will be unavailable. This means no login access, including no ability to submit absence requests, no processing of pay or separation transactions and no processing of orders to include Reserve IDT, ADT, etc.

Once the update is complete, the logon access to Direct Access will remain the same; however the universal resource locator (URL) will change once the system comes back online Feb. 27. If you access the old URL, you will be directed to the new one, however, we recommend that you update your favorites page.

The updated links will also be available at the Pay and Personnel Center's website.

In addition to the updated Direct Access URL, the WebNow URL will also be updated as a part of this security update. It is recommended that any web browser favorites are updated with the new URL to ensure quick and easy access moving forward. The WebNow URL will also be available at the Pay and Personnel Center's website

If you need to make a request to access Direct Access during this period, please email the Project Management Office.

All other questions and concerns should be forward to Lt. Chase Mercer.
