Best Places to Work: Station Washington

By MyCG Staff

What we do: Station Washington conducts deterrence of illegal charter operations, helicopter marine squadron operations, maritime law enforcement, and search and rescue operations.

Why it's fulfilling: You get many leadership opportunities even as an E-4.

Why you should work here: You should come to Station Washington to develop your leadership skills. The junior enlisted crew members have ample opportunities to further their own learning while teaching others around them as well.

What we do for fun: History buff? Lover of museums and the arts? Foodie looking to get your fix on diffident types of cuisine and nightlife? DC might just be the place for you! Snugly nestled in between Virginia and Maryland and approximately 69-miles in total area, the U.S. Capital gives all the semblance of a large city complete with hustle and bustle along with the feel and charm of small(ish) town (thank you, Height of Buildings Act of 1910).

Hidden gem (and even hidden in plain sight!): For all you horror movie fans out there, travel to Georgetown and check out the large stone steps made famous by the 1973 film, 'The Exorcist.' They're 'open' 24 hours, just don't go down them at night....unless you dare!
