Solicitation: Dr. Olivia J. Hooker STEM Scholarship for enlisted members

The NNOA is currently soliciting for applicants for this scholarship.  This scholarship is for sea service enlisted personnel in pursuit of careers in the officer corps.  It is named after our very own, Dr Olivia J. Hooker who was the first African American Woman to enlist in the Coast Guard in WWII.

There are a number of outstanding service-members with collegiate goals who could use this resource.  As a recipient of the $500 scholarship, the member is also offered free registration to the next National Naval Officer Association (NNOA) Leadership & Professional Development Symposium, an opportunity for career development and service networking.

If this program interests you, please apply or share with your shipmates!  The link for the scholarship application can be found here: https://nnoa.org/dr-olivia-hooker-scholarship/
