USCGA Swab Summer: Week One

Swab Summer is the first part of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy journey towards becoming an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard. It is designed to be challenging, both physically and mentally, to help prepare the newest members of the Corps of Cadets for Academy and military life. The newest members of the Corps of Cadets have arrived at the Coast Guard Academy to begin Swab Summer. For the next few weeks, the Swabs experience the first part of their U.S. Coast Guard Academy journey towards becoming an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard. Swab Summer is designed to be challenging, both physically and mentally, to help prepare these young women and men for Academy and military life.
