WATCH: USCGC George Cobb, Station Los Angeles on TV's "Tough as Nails"

Season 3, Episode four of "Tough as Nails" premiers Oct. 27 on CBS (9pm EST/PST) and Paramount+ (streaming). 

This episode was shot at Base Los Angeles/Long Beach on June 14-15, 2021 with the crew of USCGC George Cobb and Station Los Angeles.

This episode challenges the “Tough as Nails” contestants to work as a teams to prep four buoys and to individually rescue oscars that are weighted to match their body weight, while wearing a gumby suit. 

TOUGH AS NAILS is a competition series that celebrates everyday Americans who roll up their sleeves and don’t think twice about working long hard hours and getting their hands dirty, in order to keep their country running. Competitors who consider the calluses on their hands a badge of honor will be tested for their strength, endurance, life skills and, most importantly, mental toughness in challenges that take place at real-world job sites.

The series is from Emmy Award-winning producer Phil Keoghan (THE AMAZING RACE).

The episode was filmed with support from the public affairs team at the Coast Guard's Motion Picture and Television Office (MOPIC).
