Coast Guard to compete in Veterans Day gaming competition

Are you a gamer? Coast Guard Gaming (CGG) is fielding a team at the Veterans Day Valorant Invitational gaming competition. The event will be hosted by the Warrior GMR Foundation from Nov. 9-13, at Shenandoah University in Virginia. Branches of the armed forces will compete with various amateur gamers.

Coast Guard Recruiting Command (CG RC) and the Community Services Command (CSC) Morale, Well-being and Recreation (MWR) branch founded Coast Guard Gaming (CGG), an inclusive gaming community where members of all ages, ranks, and backgrounds can gather and share fun gaming experiences. Video games help build relationships, deepen competitive spirit, and improve morale.

Active duty gamers scheduled to compete in the Veterans Day Valorant Invitational are:

Petty Officer 1st Class Joseph Morrone – information systems specialist with Coast Guard Cyber Command
Petty Officer 2nd Class Allen Kisluk – aviation maintenance technician from Aviation Training Center Mobile
Petty Officer 2nd Class IT2 Dagan Godfrey –  information systems technician from Coast Guard Cutter Steadfast
Petty Officer 2nd ClassRichard Boone – intelligence specialist from Cryptologic Unit Colorado
Petty Officer 3rd Class Phoenix Johnson –a  boatswain's mate with Station Point Allerton
Seaman Ariel Colodner - Base Detachment St Louis
