Reserve storekeepers and F&Ss, we need your feedback!

By Zach Shapiro, MyCG Writer

Attention, reserve Storekeepers (SK) and Finance and Supply (F&S) Chief Warrant Officers (CWO)! This is your opportunity to speak your mind. The Coast Guard wants to know how you feel about your SK reserve career and training experience to include the new Financial Systems Modernization Solution (FSMS). Take the survey now.

SKs and F&S officer readiness is critical to the Coast Guard’s mission and performance. As the service assumes more contingency response operations, its workforce must be well-supplied, logistically prepared and equipped for any challenge.

Storekeepers serve an important historic role in the Coast Guard, and their skills are “extremely transferrable to the outside world,” said Master Chief Petty Officer Brynn Simonetti, SK Rating Force Master Chief.

Developed by a working group of junior and senior enlisted SKs and F&S CWOs, “the goal of the survey is to identify courses of action to sustain and progress the reserve SK workforce. This will be reported in an issue paper submitted to the Coast Guard Reserve (CGR) command to bring awareness to the current climate of the SK reserve workforce.” Simonetti added.
