On the horizon: A single vendor will manage Coast Guard IT services

By Paul Soucy, USCG C5I Service Center

An important change in the coming months will impact your interactions with Coast Guard Information Technology (IT). The Coast Guard is transitioning to having a single contracted vendor responsible for supporting and maintaining standard IT services. The vendor will be ready to provide service to you, the client, and improve the overall IT experience for everyone.

Planning for these exciting changes is under way. For most users the change will be seamless, but for a select few there will be actions that you may need to take. Additional information about the transition to IMS will become available as implementation approaches.

Thank you for your continued readiness and support during this important transition.
