Coast Guard Reserve Component marks 82nd anniversary

The Coast Guard Reserve Component is turning 82 this year. Though the official birthday of the Reserve is Feb. 19, the Coast Guard will mark the occasion with an event on Feb. 16, at 10:00 a.m. in the ceremonial entrance of Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington, D.C.  
 
Rear Adm. Miriam L. Lafferty, assistant commandant for Reserve, will preside. The event will be livestreamed on Facebook, and you can watch it here
