Enlisted members: How can we improve Enlisted Military Professional Education

By AJ Pulkkinen, MyCG Writer

Do you have suggestions on how to improve Enlisted Professional Military Education (EPME)? Are there performance qualifications that don’t exist but should? Is there a good performance qualification that perhaps should be in a different paygrade? What do you wish you had learned earlier in your career?

Please share your suggestions!

The Office of the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard (MCPOCG), the Office of Leadership, and Force Readiness Command (FORCECOM) are conducting a field survey as part of their scheduled, holistic review of the EPME system, and your input is key to improvement!

The review will evaluate all aspects of the EPME program and drill down to the critical information you need to be successful. It’s been over a decade since there has been a comprehensive review of the EPME program, and MCPOCG’s office is committed to championing short- and long-term strategies to make the program more effective.

So, get your voice heard and make a difference. The survey is open until June 12.
