Sharpening the Saw: Women in Technology panel

By MyCG Team

The USCG Women’s Leadership Initiative and C5ISC present Sharpening the Saw: Women in Technology Panel. The virtual panel will be held on Tuesday, March 19th at 1 p.m. EST.

While women make up nearly half of the US workforce, less than 30% of women are represented in the tech industry. Women working in the field of tech face many challenges including barriers to entry/promotion and limited opportunities for mentorship. This event is an opportunity to share and to engage with panelist volunteers of varying backgrounds in STEM fields.

The attending panelists include:

  • Rear Adm. Amy Grable, Assistant Commandant for Engineering and Logistics, CG-4
  • Capt. Samson Stevens, Senior Intelligence Officer, LANT-2
  • Lt. Cmdr. Hilliary Adams, Data and Analytics Team Lead, CG-62
  • Public Affairs Specialist 2nd Class Kaitlin Kilroy, LANT-092P
  • Ms. Shani Nyandemoh, APT2 Application Lead, C5ISC-ESD-APP

This panel is open for anyone looking for a lively discussion on the topics surrounding women in technology fields. Active participation is welcomed. So come, ask questions, reflect, and celebrate women in technology with the panelists!
