Tell DHS why you picked a career in public service!

By MyCG Staff

Are you proud to be a public servant? Are you willing to share why you chose a career in public service? If so, DHS is gearing up for Public Service Recognition Week and OPA HQ would love to hear from you!

If interested, email HQInternalComms@hq.dhs.gov no later than Wed, May 1 with:

  1. Your title/department.
  2. How long you've been with DHS.
  3. A high-resolution photo of yourself.

Please also complete this prompt with a detailed response:

"I chose a career in public serve because… I am especially proud to serve at DHS because…."

(Note: Please provide (at least) a full paragraph for your response. It is easier for us to edit down a lengthy response, than it is to follow up with you for additional info).

Additional Requirements:
  • Please confirm that your supervisor is aware of your desired participation in this feature.
  • Please also answer YES or NO to the following: If selected, do you give us permission to share your story internally (on DHS Connect) and externally (on social media)?

Important Note: Incomplete entries will not be considered. Additionally, you will only be contacted if selected to be profiled (if necessary). All other entries will be filed for (possible) future use.

We hope to hear from you soon!
