Give your peers an A+ for their leadership

By Alyssa Lombardi Blase

It’s that most wonderful time of year — back to school!  At least that’s what I used to tell my students when I was a teacher. While most of us may not be returning to the classroom ourselves, we can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia this time of year for the excitement and possibilities that come from new opportunities and experiences.

It also happens to be a great time to reflect on and recognize those who have made a difference in your life over the past year. Perhaps your coworker who is a “textbook” example of a leader on your team, or even a supervisor whose leadership just “adds up.” Whoever is “head of your class”—let them know with a DHS “Caught You Leading” Leader Gram!

Sending one is as easy as ABC and as simple as 123 — just go to the DHS Leader Gram site (CAC Required), fill out the form and your Leader Gram will be sent right to your leader’s lunchbox… er, inbox.  And there’s no limit to how many you may send — so feel free to share enough to fill a “backpack”!

How about them apples?!?

The DHS “Caught You Leading” Leader Grams are part of the DHS Leader Development Program.  For questions, please contact the program manager, Ms. Alyssa Lombardi Blase.
