Thank your colleagues with a You Rock! Award today

By Zach Shapiro, MyCG Staff

Have you ever wanted to thank your colleague for getting a big project done? Or even just show your appreciation for a small act of support make your day better? Then look no further than the You Rock! Award.

Designed by the Office of Civilian Workforce Relations (CG-1C4), the award is the service’s first peer-to-peer recognition tool. It was created to empower Coast Guard members and civilians to recognize good work and positive contributions to the service’s missions. There is no approval process; all you have to do is submit a quick “You Rock!” award nomination when you notice someone doing something deserving, and it will go straight to their email.

Symbolized by the Coast Guard light house, a timeless navigational tool for mariners, the award represents the fact that we all aid each other—in ways big and small—every day.
