How to manage stress in times of uncertainty

Change — and uncertainty about change — are common and understandable sources of stress. That’s why it’s important to focus on taking care of ourselves and each other. The Coast Guard has many resources and trainings available to support the Coast Guard workforce and our families. 
 
CG SUPRT Program 

  • The CG SUPRT program is a 24/7 service that helps Coast Guard members, dependents, and employees with a range of mental health and stress concerns. To get help, please contact CG SUPRT at 855-CG SUPRT (247-8778) or http://www.cgsuprt.com/

Personal Wellness Resources 

  • The Service’s Wellness Wednesday webinar series has covered a wide range of topics, from mental health to financial readiness. You may access past webinars here

Suicide Prevention Program 

  • The Coast Guard’s Suicide Prevention Program offers many resources on suicide prevention, myths and facts, and relevant webinars. You may access the Program page here
  • The service also offers safeTALK Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) for interested members. For more information, please contact your Employee Assistance Program Coordinator or email Cmdr. LaMar Henderson, the Suicide Prevention and Behavioral Health program manager.
