New! Senior enlisted members launch the “Badge Bulletin” video series

By AJ Pulkkinen, MyCG writer

Senior Enlisted Leaders are launching a new video series to bring you the news that really matters. Through 30-60 second videos posted on MyCG, Gold Badges and Rating Force Master Chiefs (RFMCs) will help make sure you know what’s going on in your Coast Guard.

For the inaugural Badge Bulletin, Operations Specialist RFMC OSCM Andy Swett explains why some command centers are adopting 8-hour watch rotations.

In the coming weeks, you’ll find out why the BMCM Grant Heffner, the Boatswain’s Mate RFMC, championed for 20 SWE points for BM1s with OIC certification(s). And Machinery Technician RFMC, MKCM Mike Huggins will explain why he supports the new EPO PQS.

“I’m excited to announce a great new communications initiative from MyCG called the Badge Bulletin,” said Master Chief Heath B. Jones, Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard (MCPOCG), in a video announcing the new series. “Enterprise-level Gold Badges and Rating Force Master Chiefs communicate directly to you on some of the amazing things that are happening in our Coast Guard. From policy changes, workforce initiatives, resource investments, there’s so much goodness going on… This is a way we can get it out so that everybody knows what’s going on across the Coast Guard.”

You’ll be able to find the Badge Bulletins on the right side of MyCG’s homepage, or look for them in the weekly All Hands Briefer. Come back to Badge Bulletins often to learn more about what’s going on across the Coast Guard.
