As part of its commitment to supporting members and their families, the Coast Guard is launching the service’s first Nationwide Housing Satisfaction Survey (NHSS) this fall. This initiative follows the launch of Force Design 2028, the Coast Guard’s roadmap for future readiness, which prioritizes investments in its people and workforce services.
The NHSS will gather feedback from members living in both government housing and private sector accommodations to identify challenges, measure satisfaction, and guide improvements. Recognizing that many members live in rental housing near remote, seasonal, or coastal duty stations, this comprehensive approach ensures all voices are heard.
The survey will be sent via Coast Guard email and conducted by Sawdey Solutions Services, Inc. and Robert D. Niehaus Inc. It will take about 10 minutes to complete, and all responses will be confidential.
Improving housing is just one of the many ways the Coast Guard is investing in its most important asset—its people. Your input will help shape housing policies and strategies to better support both accompanied and unaccompanied members, ensuring the Coast Guard remains ready to meet the challenges of the future.
Look for the survey in your inbox this fall, and thank you for helping us build a stronger, more resilient Coast Guard community!
