The USCG Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood (MCCYN) Fee Assistance (FA) program is experiencing delays of up to 45 calendar days in processing benefit payments due to high program demand and staffing challenges.
The good news? We're working closely with our third-party administrator (Navy Child & Youth Programs) to get things back on track. Our goal is to get the payment processing time back down to the usual 10-15 days from when we receive your claim form.
To help the Military Child Care team focus on processing claims as quickly as possible, we'd really appreciate it if you could wait at least 45 calendar days from your submission date before reaching out for a status update
- If the team needs any additional information or corrections from you, they'll reach out directly.
- If it's been more than 45 calendar days and you haven't heard anything, please contact them at cnicclaimsupport@us.navy.mil . To make things easier, please attach your original submission to the email.
If these delays are causing you financial hardship, please don't hesitate to reach out to your Coast Guard Mutual Assistance (CGMA) representative. They can help you obtain a Childcare Loan.
Thank you for being part of the MCCYN program. We truly appreciate your patience and support as the team works hard to get these claims processed. We know childcare is important, and we're doing our best to get things running smoothly again!
