Message to the Workforce: End of Government Shutdown

The federal government shutdown has ended, and full functions and operations are resuming across the Coast Guard.

Thank you for your unwavering dedication and professionalism during this challenging period.   

Our civilian workforce will receive their back pay within the next five days. We recognize the financial and personal strain this lapse has caused and appreciate your patience despite the uncertainty. 

Throughout the shutdown, you demonstrated the very best of our Service’s core values – Honor, Respect, and Devotion to Duty. Your continued resilience and perseverance ensure the Coast Guard remains always ready to execute our missions in service to the American people.
