Over one million individuals across DHS and DoW, including active-duty military, Reserve/National Guard, Service Academy students, and civilians, participate in the Defense Organizational Climate Survey (DEOCS) annually, a Congressionally mandated, unit-level survey designed to gather information on our organizational climate.
The DEOCS results are critical for commanders, Equal Opportunity Advisors (EOAs), Command Climate Specialists (CCSs), and other leaders as they evaluate unit climates, address issues, and improve work environments.
Your participation and candid feedback help foster a healthy workplace in the Coast Guard. Individual responses are kept private and secure. Individual answers cannot be identified, as all data is reported in aggregate.
Due to the recent Lapse in appropriation, the DEOCS has been extended through Jan. 31, 2026.
If you have any questions about DEOCS or the extended timeline, please contact Ms. Flora Wesley (jeyanthiflora.wesley@uscg.mil). To learn more, please click here.
