Storefront has been integrated into CGFIXIT as part of ongoing Coast Guard efforts to make IT processes more efficient.
The move is designed to create one-stop shopping for members’ IT needs. You’ll now be able to request software and hardware in the same spot you go for IT help and troubleshooting.
What this means
No more going to Storefront. Instead, head directly to CGFIXIT. There you’ll find a new, easy to follow interface from ServiceNow where you can click on tabs for Request Software or Request Hardware. The process is live, and we are working to streamline it to make it quicker.
Some things to be aware of:
- If you try to use old Storefront links, they'll automatically take you to the right place in CGFIXIT.
- If you have an unfulfilled request in the old Storefront, you'll need to resubmit it in CGFIXIT. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.
- More training and resources are coming as we improve ServiceNow, so stay tuned!
Other changes ahead
This is just one piece of the puzzle! We're also working hard on:
- Continually working to improve CGFIXIT and making enhancements based on your feedback
- Increasing staffing Centralized Service Desk (CSD) staffing to get you help more quickly.
- Boosting our network security and applying necessary patches to keep our systems safe
