The Coast Guard uses the Alert Warning System (AWS) to alert employees of building closures and delays, furloughs, and another emergent information. The message is sent to employees' personal email, home phone and/or cell phone. Civilian and military members are encouraged to make sure their contact information is accurate so that they can receive emergency notifications. Log in to Coast Guard Personnel Accountability and Assessment System (CGPAAS), and click on "My Info" on the top navigation bar. Select "Contact Info," then either verify or edit your information.
