Bravo Zulu as well to the 203 Coast Guard units and 1,822 Coast Guard volunteers who participated in the PIE Program during the 2024 – 2025 school year.
Created in 1991, the PIE Program enhances youth well-being, academic achievements, and career opportunities by building partnerships nationwide between Coast Guard units. By nurturing relationships with local communities, today’s service members are developing tomorrow’s workforce.
During the 2024-2025 school year, Coast Guard volunteers partnered with 210 schools and other youth-serving organizations, devoted 7,328 hours of their time and energy and engaged 48,079 students in a range of educational and other activities.
Thank you to all participating Coast Guard units and volunteers for increasing awareness of the Service, its missions, and career opportunities among students, teachers, and career counselors. Every hour spent with young people helps promote the Coast Guard as an employer of choice.
To learn about the PIE Program as well as the contributions and accomplishments of the units and individuals recognized with 2025 PIE Awards, visit the Coast Guard Partnership in Education webpage.
All Coast Guard units as well as active-duty members, Reservists, Auxiliarists, and retirees are welcomed to get involved in the PIE Program. If you have any questions on how to get involved, email the National Program Manager at PIE@USCG.MIL.
