New Coast Guard Brand Portal provides instant access to mission-ready templates and logos

By MyCG Staff

Whether you’re building a slide deck, drafting a fact sheet, or prepping materials for a public event, finding the right logo or template shouldn’t slow you down.

Now it won’t, thanks to the US Coast Guard Brand Portal. Launched by the Office of Government and Public Affairs (CG-OPA), this new SharePoint hub puts everything you need for professional, on-brand communications in one place.

What’s in it for you

Here’s a quick list of what’s available:

  • Brand guidelines—Clear, straightforward guidance on how to represent the Coast Guard brand correctly, so you’re never second-guessing logo placement or color choices again.

  • Ready-made templates—Modern, easy-to-use templates for slide decks, fact sheets, reports, flyers, and more.

  • Asset repository—A single, organized location for official Coast Guard logos, graphics and visual assets, which means no more hunting through old emails for what you need.

  • Digital content support—Working on something with high-visibility? CG-OPA’s brand management team can help you create polished, branded materials from the ground up.

  • Brand training—Practical training on how to use the Coast Guard brand correctly across different communication channels, so your unit’s materials always look sharp and official.

Why it matters

Our brand represents more than 235 years of service. When Coast Guard communications look professional and consistent—whether they come from a small boat station in Oregon, or headquarters in Washington—it reinforces the credibility of the entire organization. These tools are designed to help every member and employee put their best foot forward, regardless of their communications background.

When is this happening?

The rollout is already underway. The initial USCG Brand Portal and draft guidelines launched in January 2026. Look out for the comprehensive Brand Playbook, new branded templates, and the start of our Brand Training Program coming up in August 2026.

We want your input

Our brand is more than the emblem or the “racing stripes” on the sides of our cutters, it is how we present ourselves visually and verbally, and how we interact with members of the public and government stakeholders. To truly understand our brand we are undergoing a brand audit and ask you to take this quick survey that will help us define the Coast Guard brand.

We’re here to help

We’re going to keep updating our brand as the Coast Guard itself evolves and grows. If you have feedback or suggestions about how we can improve the portal or any of the templates, please reach out to our team at brand@uscg.mil. We’re also available to answer any questions or if you need graphic design help with a big project. Explore your new brand portal here
