Honor our Vietnam veterans this weekend

From May 11-13, visitors will flock to Camp Legacy on the National Mall to check out helicopters, armored amphibious vehicles, historical artifacts, musical performances, drill teams, and lessons from curators on preserving your family members' own military artifacts.

Cmdr. Merle J. Smith, Jr. was the second African American to receive an appointment to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and the first to graduate. Smith served as a role model for countless cadets, faculty, and staff at the Coast Guard Academy.
