Recipients pioneered solutions that improve Coast Guard operations and service readiness – just like the legendary Coast Guard innovator whose “chain stopper” dramatically improved the safety of buoy tending operations and for whom these awards are named.

Women in RDT&E and Innovation help drive Coast Guard mission success

Women’s History Month serves as a reminder of the many contributions and strengths women bring to the Coast Guard.
