The Coast Guard Cutter Stratton’s (WMSL 752) crew relieves the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Douglas Munro (WHEC 724) in the Bering Sea, March 12, 2021. A once in a career rescue, all in the cold waters of the Bering Sea.

Multiple U.S. and Canadian partner agencies planned and executed four large-scale interagency, binational operations throughout the summer. The various maritime law enforcement and security missions were held to deter illicit activities in the region, uphold multi-agency interoperability, and to ensure mission capabilities throughout the Puget Sound, San Juan Islands, and Strait of Juan de Fuca.
