Coast Guard Cutter Alert (WMEC 630) crew members conduct small boat testing, Dec. 2, 2024, while underway in the Florida Straits. Alert's crew conducted a 60-day maritime safety and security patrol in the Florida Straits; the deployment marked its first since the cutter shifted home ports from Astoria, Oregon, to Cape Canaveral, Florida.
