The Long Blue Line: Harriet Lane—first lady of the Coast Guard and the U.S.!

First Lady Harriet Lane lives today through the cutter named for her.

A 45-foot response boat from Station Key West, Fla., is alongside a rustic vessel approximately 15 miles south of Key West, March 9, 2022. Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations flight crew reported the rustic vessel with people aboard to U.S. Coast Guard Sector Key West watchstanders. U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Kathleen Moore’s crew repatriated 74 people to Cuba, March 12, 2022, following four interdictions of undocumented migrants due to safety of life at sea concerns. Coast Guard repatriates more than 200 undocumented migrants and more

Coast Guard repatriates more than 200 undocumented migrants; Coast Guard rescues 5 from capsized vessel in Port O'Connor, Texas; Coast Guard cutters return home following patrol in Oceania; and Coast Guard Cutter Midgett returns to homeport after 3-month Alaskan Patrol.
