By Keisha Reynolds, MyCG Writer

Leading a purposeful life in today’s times can be challenging enough without our own behaviors of self-sabotage that include, negative self-talk, doubt or shame, which impacts our lives and our relationships. Join this Week’s Wellness Wednesday guests: Employee Assistance Program Manager Christiana Montminy and Chaplain Jared Payne, from Base Los Angeles/ Long Beach, who will provide resources to correct these stumbling blocks that stand in the way of the life you want. The conversation is scheduled to will be held today at 3 p.m. EDT on CVR Teams.
“May is Mental Health Awareness Month and it is an important time to focus on this topic head-on to help get people get out of negative feedback loops and learn to treat themselves in a more friendly way,” said Payne. “In other words, it is possible to drive forward without driving over ourselves.”

The pair will provide tips for healthy thinking and quieting the mind of negativity. According to Payne, healing our minds and improving our opinions of ourselves is key to bettering our lives and our relationships. It will also free many people from shame and guilt they struggle with, which are often triggers for these negative thought patterns and behaviors.
