Everything to know about Knee Care—a continued Wellness Wednesday discussion

By Keisha Reynolds, MyCG Writer

Knees have proven themselves to be one of the most used and often abused joints in our bodies because their functionality is central to our movability and health. This is why there is much to know concerning the care of our knees and why this week’s Wellness Wednesday conversation is the second on the topic. The discussion, called Taking Care of Your Knees, Part II, will take place on June 9, 2021, at 3 p.m. EDT with Cmdr. Carlos Estevez, physical therapist at the Coast Guard Academy (CGA), and Dr. Cory Edgar, an auxiliarist and orthopedic surgeon from University of Connecticut and CGA Sports Team physician. They will cover the gambit from injury prevention, to when you should consider surgery, and everything in-between.
