17 Coast Guard Vietnam vets tour Coast Guard aviation units in D.C. area 

The U.S. Coast Guard recently welcomed 17 Vietnam veterans for unit tours of Air Station Washington and the Coast Guard National Capital Region Air Defense Facility.  During their tour, each veteran also received their commemorative Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin.  The veterans had all served on the Coast Guard Cutter Owasco, which was attached to Coast

In December 2020 the Coast Guard announced a temporary change to the Coast Guard Supplemental to the Joint Travel Regulations (CGS-JTR) allowing members more flexibility when choosing a vehicle processing center (VPC) for the government funded shipment of their POV. This change was set to expire 31 December 2021. However, this policy has been extended another year, and approved to become a permanent addition to the CGS-JTR.
