Coast Guard to host Holocaust Days of Remembrance observance on May 8

Members can attend the event in person, or view/call-in to the event on Teams.

Every year the Coast Guard participates in national civil rights awards programs to enable you to recognize and celebrate your coworkers and their contributions to civil rights and equal opportunity. In 2024, you can recognize and celebrate your coworkers by nominating them for any of the following awards.

Recognize, celebrate your coworker’s contributions to Civil Rights

Between January and May, ALCOASTS soliciting nominations for each award will be posted on the Civil Rights Directorate Civil Rights Award Program webpage.

The DEOCS assesses command climate in sexual assault, sexual harassment, and other harmful behaviors. The survey will assist in identifying high-risk units and implementing plans to counter harmful behaviors.

Defense Organizational Climate Survey (DEOCS) is now an annual requirement

Coast Guard units, directorates, and offices with at least 16 members must complete a DEOCS by Jan. 31, 2024.
