Coast Guard unveils new cyber mission rating

CMS to be the first new rating in eight years.

Petty Officer 2nd Class Nicholas Lusk, a PSU 309 tactical boat crew member, mans the aft M240B during a waterside security drill Sept. 19, 2022, as part of the training exercise Desired Effect held in Farmington, Missouri. During this evolution, an opposing force vessel began a simulated attack on two high value assets—one at anchor and one underway—initiating multiple high speed tactical maneuvers by the PSU.
