Coast Guard expands sports grant program for 2026

 Active-duty members can now receive up to $200 for individual sports competitions to promote health and readiness.

LTJG Tom Slattery ran the NYC Marathon for the Coast Guard on Nov. 5, 2023, placing 20th. Slattery, a premiere long-distance runner and two-time U.S. Olympic Trials qualifier, was recently named the 2024 Coast Guard Elite Male Athlete of the Year.
