NOTICE: A lapse in appropriations has occurred. Military members will continue to report for duty as per normal operations. Excepted and exempt civilian employees will report to work as usual. My Coast Guard

Coast Guard members and civilian boat crews are working to boom off inlets to these areas in order to prevent contamination of one of the Gulf Coast's most sensitive ecosystems.

The funding decision supports restoration activities spanning the Gulf Coast states impacted by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill
