Research assistant, Kayla Enochs, directs BACH physical therapist Dr. Lee Webb, to raise his leg during a physical therapy session demonstrating exercises performed by Soldiers enrolled in a research study at BACH. Physical therapists at BACH partnered in a research project aimed at finding effective methods to treat service members with patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS), commonly known as runner’s knee. Their research found that Soldiers who used a neuromuscular electrical stimulation device, like the one Webb is wearing, in addition to an active home exercise program over a 9-week period experienced more improvement than Soldiers who only performed active home exercise. Coast Guard clinics are now vaccinating military dependents

As of April 30, 2021, Coast Guard clinics are authorized to vaccinate Coast Guard dependents
