Coast Guard recognizes inspiring leaders

Service Members, Civilians and Auxiliarists recognized for superior leadership across the service

In 2020, Martha G. Stewart from Training Center Yorktown was the recipient of the Swaringen Award. Stewart was honored by this recognition. Over the past five years, she has had the privilege of working with so many amazing people, all who were interested in improving performance – of themselves, their units, and the Coast Guard.

Revitalization of 107 motor lifeboats greenlighted to improve safety and ease of use
