The Coast Guard increases junior officer command opportunities

More communities will have paths to earn a position as a unit commander earlier in their career.

U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Healy (WAGB 20) approaches the pier during its return to home port in Seattle on Dec. 15, 2023, following a multi-month deployment to the Arctic and circumnavigating North America.
