Also known as the “Yankee Clipper” and “Long Island Express,” the 1938 hurricane caused over $41 billion in property damage and the death of approximately 700 men, women, and children.

Coast Guard streamlines guaranteed A-school process

EPM beta-tests the Vested Crewmember program by assigning members with guaranteed A-school to a petty officer third class position in their future rating.

The Coast Guard recently removed the requirement for regular Enlisted Evaluation Reports (EER) for junior enlisted to reduce the administrative workload for supervisors allowing them to focus on mentoring and coaching.
