Social Security taxes will be deferred for many federal civilians and uniformed members through the end of this year.

Solicitation: Innovative ideas that could become projects in FY22

As fiscal year 2020 draws to a close, the Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) and Innovation Program is already looking to the future. The RDT&E and Innovation Program is asking you – all military, civilian, reserve, auxiliary and contract personnel – to submit research ideas for the FY22 RDT&E Project Portfolio. The New York Times bestselling cookbook, “Salt Fat Acid Heat: Mastering the Elements of Good Cooking,” might seem an unusual choice for the Coast Guard’s annual professional development reading list. But the book “helped me disconnect from a demanding staff assignment,” explains Lt. Austin Fullmer, in the Ninth District. “If being able to roast a whole buttermilk chicken on my own doesn’t signify personal growth, I don’t know what does!”
