Non-Chargeable Convalescent Leave is a new option for servicemembers recovering from sexual assault 

Sexual assault victims now have the non-chargeable leave time for recovery.

The Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program is helping survivors understand that their recovery matters and that there is no "wrong door" for those seeking care. The Coast Guard's Connect to Care Program promotes confidentiality for individuals seeking services from Coast Guard's helping agencies.

The recent SAPRR policy update allows members to seek help from a greater number of sources without disclosure.

Allies committed to the Coast Guard’s effort to eliminate harassment and assault have a new resource in their toolkit when responding to a shipmate in distress. The Confide in Another (CIA) card provides actionable next steps to prepare and respond in instances when a servicemember reaches out, looking for support.
