Did you know? If you received a PCS Travel Advance, you still may be owed money

If you received PCS travel advances, you are required to submit a travel claim for full compensation.

Change in household goods calculations: gun safes

A recent change allows the weight of empty gun safes to be excluded from your HHG weight calculation.

How to get your PCS claims paid

Even if you've already submitted a claim, you'll need to take an additional step to get paid.

A home is shown Dec. 4, 2020, at the South Post Family Housing area at Fort McCoy, Wis. Twenty-two homes are officer homes (nine three-bedroom and 13 four-bedroom), and 91 are enlisted homes (55 three-bedroom and 36 four-bedroom). The area doubled in size in 2017 after the completion of 57 new homes. Another seven homes are nearly complete in the area. In December 2020 the Coast Guard announced a temporary change to the Coast Guard Supplemental to the Joint Travel Regulations (CGS-JTR) allowing members more flexibility when choosing a vehicle processing center (VPC) for the government funded shipment of their POV. This change was set to expire 31 December 2021. However, this policy has been extended another year, and approved to become a permanent addition to the CGS-JTR.
